Located between the town of Ulcinj and the Ada Bojana Island, Velika Plaza (a 13 km-long sandy beach with an unobstructed view of the Adriatic Sea) represents the southern tip of Montenegro. Velika Plaža complex includes land of 1.357 ha, of which 903 ha are owned by the State.
Plans and issues for its gradual development include: (i) the development of a high-level tourist area; (ii) the construction of a small VIP airport; (iii) upgrading of telecommunications, and an efficient energy and water supply; and (iv) coastal area protection (allowing up to 100 m2 of green surface per bed in order to provide deluxe tourist accommodation). The land owned by the State is offered for a long-term, with an obligation to construct an exclusive tourism complex.
